I have a very cool customer in Canada (that sounds suspiciously like an Avenue Q lyric) who like eccentric and custom work. I made him the black/gray corduroy camouflage kilt a while back and he reordered one from me. He wanted a specific fabric and therefore, after sending me a small photo, the hunt was one. I finished his kilt @ 2am yesterday (which sucked with the head cold I have had the last few days) because I needed to mail it to him by Friday so he could wear it out this weekend. He also wanted some new features. This kilt has back pockets, permanent cargo pockets and double belt loops so it can be worn with either a standard belt or with a traditional kilt belt. I am super proud of this. I also did it with box-pleats so more of the pattern would show because it is some cool fabric.

I feel inspired again - the temperature is warm enough that I can sew and the ideas are really big. Just wait till I post the photos from
debunkshy's new kilt. It has some industrial rivets and an adjustable waist! I am so glad it is spring!
This was the fabric....
( and click here to see what I did to it. )
