Thinking of vending @ convergence - kilts, coats, etc. Thoughts?

Ooh, I think that'd be great. Is it expensive to get a table?

I think it's a great idea. The Cities SciFi guys like their kilts. It would be good exposure, and a great place to get custom orders. The main competition for you to get into the show would be the leather workers. B and I are a wealth of info on vending at that con.

first year was decent, last year was enh. if things pick up a bit more this year, it'll be okay. (if it were an out of town show, i wouldnt' bother, because of hotel costs, but you've got people you can crash with here.)

they're quite nifty!

yeah, oddcon would likely be a good dry run, though they only have a fraction of the people (100something) that CVG has, not to mention the whole CVG anniversary year issue.

just emailed CVG about getting an application... need to budget cost plus stock cost over the next few months.

may be able to get an industrial machine for cheap from work - they are selling off their smaller ones and I hope to save some of my tax return for one.
