This is the perky entry that has nothing to do with how I feel right now.
My parents have (threatened) to give me a car. This is a avery tricky subject because my parents tend to 'take things away' and also be a little strange when it comes to straight out gifts - there is usually a catch (or twenty). greydancer's van. Grr.. but I can not guarantee my parent's gift and no matter what - I do not go back on a deal. We are still buying the van as planned but now seem to have a choice to a possible secondary car (that might replace my Focus).

If you want two new cars, though, that would rock.
However, I think that the newer car with the lower mileage is going to last you longer. I mean you do a lot of driving. The Ranger may die soon. I would go with the olds.
