Rotissary Turkey (with garlic and pesto). Homemade cinnamon applesauce. Homemade Turtle Bread!

The inside of the Turtle Bread with butter.

I had extra dough after three turtles and made some rolls.

The dough is designed to be used for snack-bread (such as melonpan and anpan) or filled bread. I wanted to try it out first without a filling just to see how it worked and tasted. I was very pleased with the result. The boys helped me make everything and really loved the turtles (though next time I need to make more of them but smaller). The applesauce was made in my rice cooker and I was impressed by the ease of it... will be making more this winter.

*No actual turtles were harmed in the making of this bread. Nor does the bread taste anything like a turtle. Instead it is a lot like sourdough and very tasty!
