When you put it in all caps like that, the first thing I think of is the back of a concert bouncer's windbreaker. :) Otherwise, security to me conjures up the feeling I get when the day is over and I spoon with D under the warm covers. Feeling warm and safe and being held. That's it.
In all caps like that, I also tend to see it as an external thing - a police force or other bouncer-like staff personage. "Security" has a very law-n-order tinge to me.
It means two things to me. Peace of mind and trust. Peace of mind in knowing that I don't have to worry about things and trust that it's going to be ok.
Security = a reasonable level of assurance that what I need for safety, well-being, and happiness aren't going to go away due to powers outside of my control.
Feeling a bit insecure right now. 0~o Stupid work.
I think of security guards right away; next up is financial security -- having enough to cover my needs. Then comes physical security -- like a solid roof and a door that locks.
the first thing that popped to mind was airport security screening. blek.
but lots of good associations with security, too. like family and feeling safe. lots of other ones, like financial security (need it) homeland security (scared of it)

But if I give it more thought than just the initial phrase that pops into my head... I find it a myth.
