According to the internet... men don't have hips.
The idea that you can order a pair of pants with only a waist measurement is ridiculous. What if you have a man-booty? How am I to determine an average waist/hip ration without any good measurements?
Any of you guys out there willing to comment on your waist and hip measurements so I can construct a chart? Any girls willing to ask your men for some numbers?

Ah yes! But I seek the predictor number itself!
I have made clothes for women for years and marvel at the numbers by which you need to have to make them. I have also noticed that though there are many dress forms for women of various sizes... it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a men's variable size form. You can buy a standard size (by waist of course) but I don't want to have 10 or 12 headless men watching me at all times. I just want an adjustable male form. My female one has too much booty for the kilt. Most of the ones I have made have about a 2" difference... but my son's have a 6" which can be attributed to their childish size.
Trust me... I know that vanity sizing exists in men' clothes... which is why my clients need to run an actual tape measure through their belt loops to get an actual size. I have made a few that didn't fit because they sent me jeans' sizes and not measurements!
Thanks for the info!
